Handbook for window sill use and maintenance.

When using MDF-board window sills, please take care to:

1. Avoid using sharp objects on the window sill, to prevent mechanical damage.

2. DO NOT PLACE HOT OBJECTS (clothes iron, hot pans, etc.) on the window sill to prevent heat damage to the paint.

3. Avoid long-term exposure to water or moisture. Upon long-term contact, moisture might absorb through the paint and cause the MDF board to expand unevenly.

4. Avoid using abrasive, acidic or corrosive cleaning products. Instead, use a wet towel for cleaning.

5. If damage occurs to the window sill, it can be repaired by the user:

5.1. If needed, use filler to flatten damage

5.2. Sand down the entire surface that requires a fresh coat of paint.

Handbook for laminated timber windows

When using laminated timber windows, please take care to:

1. Avoid using sharp objects on the window sill, to prevent mechanical damage.

2. Avoid long-term liquid or moisture exposure for the inner surfaces of the window. Persistent liquid or moisture exposure can damage the material. Note that in most cases, this might occur due to poor ventilation.

3. Avoid using abrasive, acidic or corrosive cleaning products. Instead, use a wet towel for cleaning.

4. If damage occurs to the window, it can be repaired by the customer:

4.1. If needed, use filler to flatten damage.

4.2. Sand down the entire surface that requires a fresh coat of paint.

4.3. We use water-based paint on our products.

5. The windows can be opened in two ways: tilted and turned.

5.1. Handle pointing down ― the window is closed.

5.2. Handle in horisontal position ― the window can be turned (to a fully opened position).

5.3. Handle pointing up ― the window can be tilted (to a partially opened, i.e. ventilation position).

6. In early autumn (September-October), take care to check that the bottom aluminum water drip of the window jamb is not blocked.

7. To maintain long-term durability in the materials and components, please do the following annually:

7.1. Clean and grease the hinges and fitting mechanisms.

7.2. Clean and grease the window gasket (with silicone oil).

NB! In case the window needs adjusting, we are happy to provide a free warranty service once, 6 months after the windows have been installed.
